Adam Ginsberg

Adam Ginsberg, author, speaker and educator, has recently unveiled a new dropshipping resource tool that features more than 90,000 wholesale products. Known as MyAuctionGenerator, Ginsberg’s latest in an impressive line of products, this tool offers internet entrepreneurs an opportunity to choose from thousands of new products to increase their eBay inventory.

According to Ginsberg, “this unique system integrates with eBay. Simply select the item you want to sell and you will be provided with a description, pictures and even a suggested title. He adds, “Then, with one click of your mouse, your item is listed on eBay.”

According to this new program, sellers will never again have to pay for merchandise until after it has already sold. A dropshipping program works as the seller lists an item for sale, collects the payment and then forwards the wholesale price to the dropshipper who then ships the product. Without ever having to place their hands on the merchandise or worry about the hassle of shipping, sellers have made a profit and their work is done.

With more than 700,000 individuals having given up their full-time jobs in exchange for an eBay career, Ginsberg decided to travel the world and educate people on how to become success with many of the top internet auction companies, including eBay, Yahoo, Overstock and Bid4Assets. Between the fall of 2001 and the spring of 2005, Adam Ginsberg, himself, claims to have earned more than $20,000,000.00 on eBay and the internet. In May 2005, he authored a book that detailed his eBay story, which he dedicated to his mom, and was published by Harper Collins. The title quickly climbed the ranks and made it to the #1 spot on Amazon.com only three days after it’s release.

While visiting Adam Ginsberg’s website, which is at AdamGinsberg.com, visitors will have the opportunity to read various success stories, sign up for a free e-newsletter and also read Adam’s daily blog. For an unknown time, Adam is making available a free special report on dropshipping and a free 30-day trial of MyAuctionGenerator. Additional information, along with a listing of his future live speaking engagements, a list of products and auction tools, along with auction website links, can be found on Ginsberg’s official website at the address listed above. In addition, he also offers free articles on a variety of subjects, which are available for other webmasters to use in an effort to help generate traffic to their own website. In order to use these articles, however, you must follow the simple rules as listed on the website.

It’s not all great though. According to http://www.adam-ginsberg-complaints.com, Ginsberg is barred from ebay and in my own experience he seems almost impossible to contact.  While AdamGinsberg.com seems to change or switch designs regularly, these days I have a lot less confidence in recommending Ginsberg in any way.

Before considering a product from Adam Ginsberg, I would read this article. I would also take into consideration that it took a while to get November’s payment (got in January with January’s payment after repeated calls and emails).

I was told January’s payment would be around the 15th of February. I emailed them and got a response that their affiliate manager was out of down and they would be done on Monday the 19th. They are not answering their phone nor responding to e-mails, nor has the payment been made.

Various phone numbers for them are disconnected.

I’m owed over $2,000 in affiliate commissions and I am probably not the only one.

Unfortunately Adam Ginsberg has left a trail of destruction behind him in every venture, and his eBay history is no exception. There are complaints all over the Internet about him going back for at least the past four years. He’s banned from ever selling on eBay again, yet he still maintains that he is approved of by eBay, and routinely sells coaching and courses to newbies for $6000 to $10,000. Avoid Adam Ginsberg if you know what’s good for you. All the evidence is readily available if you care to look. See http://www.adamginsbergscam.com

That site isn’t coming up, but there’s a link here from http://www.adam-ginsberg-complaints.com - seems like a LOT of people are seriously pi**ed off with Ginsberg.

I’ve been representing Adam Ginsbergs new site and found it quite good. Commission s have always been paid on time though paypal. My only concern is there is no affiliate area so I can not see how many visitors I’m taking to his site.

I met Adam Ginsberg during his tenure as an office manager for Vector Marketing (do a web search for Vector Marketing if you’re not familiar with its poor reputation).

It seems “questionable methods” have surrounded him all his career.

I’m not sure where to begin with Adam Ginsberg. Stay away from this guy, he’s really bad news. I had dealings with him in his eBay days and got ripped off by him buying a billiards table. Paid him and it never came. I think his username was pegasusbilliards or something like that. Last time I checked, Adam was trying to sell his eBay coaching program. This from a guy who’s now banned from selling on eBay?! If he wasn’t stealing people’s money this would be hilarious. But in fact, it’s a deadly serious problem.

lets face it u can get banned off ebay for any thing,.. sell the wrong item etc etc,

im not backing this adam ginsberg guy, seems like hes left more then a few people out of pocket,.

theirs no magic to selling on ebay, clean listings, good pictures, thats it,

u will get buyers trying to scam u, ebay trying to scam u paypal trying to scam u

has any one got any data on the amount of people who have been ripped off on ebay,.?? lol i would like to see that,

its not worth it,.. back to the good old days = sunday markets,

if you are going to use ebay, then site up ur own site, and make sales on ebay then draw them people to your own site, ebay is brain washing people by stating paypal is safe,. do not do sales outside of ebay etc etc,. but ur own site is the best way to do it

I work in eBay’s fraud dept and it’s actually very difficult to get banned from selling on eBay. We do suspend sellers for varying periods, but as longa as they rectify issues we’ll reinstate them. In my tenure with the company I can only think of a handful of cases where we’ve had to ban sellers completely. I can’t comment on Mr Ginsberg because I don’t know the specific details. I do know there were some serious feedback issues with his accounts. Look, the bottom line is if you’re a genuine seller and not trying to scam anyone, you’ll be fine and we’ll take care of you. We don’t tolerate any shady or fly by night sellers that don’t deliver the goods they list on eBay.

I’ve signed up four months ago with this guy in England at an event called The Money Masters UK. A lot of problems are said of him on this page, but I can tell you he must have changed.

His team have looked after me when I write to them, and when I have problems they nearly always help me within about 24 hours or so.

I don’t call that bad service or anything as he’s been there for me.

Ginsberg also told me that he helped a company on Ebay once and they sold billiard tables and sometimes did not deliver them like they should have. But he helped the company get started and wasn’t the billiard guy. So maybe he’s not as bad as some people make out.

Give him a fair chance when you see him because he’s been the real deal for me and Mavis (my wife).

@ Traci

Thanks for your comments. It’s great to hear your point of view.

@ Jack

That’s great it’s working out for you & Ginsberg. Please keep us informed of how it progresses.

I would have to agree with Jack. I attended a training that Adam Ginsberg had in Los Angeles in February of 2007. The training was great - Adam was there for all 3 days and really inspired the class to take action and make some money on eBay.

Most of the class, including me, were no to selling on eBay. Actually, I created my eBay account the day before the class.

I’m not lighting the world on fire - but I am making about $1200 a month on eBay, which is great part time extra income for me. I still have my full time job.

Adam Ginsberg never tried to sell me a coaching program - this wasn’t mentioned in his training and has never been mentioned to me since I’ve been involved with his program so I’m not sure what others are commenting on.

I did attend a 2nd, refresher training program in October, and that one was simply awesome.

Jack made a good point about the service as well. Sometimes it takes a couple of days for the support team to get back to me, but overall I’d give their student support a 9/10. Maybe 3 or 4 years ago it wasn’t so good, I can’t say.

I’d say, meet him and then make a judgement for yourself. What he teaches really works.

To the person who said Adam Ginsberg was not directly selling billiards - he says in his “how to buy sell and profit on ebay” DVD that he had a billiard business and started listing them on ebay by his moms advice and that is how he got started on ebay.

I read his book “how to buy sell and profit on ebay” followed his lead at the back of the book and have been highly disappointed since. I’ve been to his website and all he is trying to do is keep making money. His promises this time is free membership and downloads and when you click on the follow me links it stops at a page asking you to spend another $300 - $400 dollars. No free membership, no downloads, etc. He pushes his Ztemplates in his book but again they don’t exist. Found other places to develop a website and use on Ebay for what his site charges for a month I get a years worth of service. While his book is good his information and his greed to bilk people out of money is much better.

Many places tell you to make the most profit sell information. He has truly done his share in this market. Agreeing with another writer he does state in his book he used to sell pool tables and even talks about customers complaining when the shipping crate was damaged. Seems he changes his story to meet his needs at the time. Be wary of anything you purchase from him.

Anyone waiting for the Secrets to Auction Milionaire DVD program ? It was supposed to come out 1st April 08. They have a ticket system for contacting the office, a seperate email address and a phone number. I have tried all several times, but have had no answers to my enquiries.
They had no problem taking the money, but have since fallen off the face of the earth. I am also horrified to read that he has been barred from ebay. That makes me feel sick.

Looks like Adam or one of his staff has put up a webpage http://adamginsbergcomplaints.com to try and deflect the avalanche of complaints about him.

Clever tactic, but at least the independent review sites, BBB, RipOffReport.com and so on contain more than enough ammunition to make most people stay away from him.

I don’t understand why he doesn’t just give up trying to pretend he’s a legitimate eBay coach and move to another industry, start again and not rip people off this time.

I am not sure what to think of Adam Ginsberg now. You cannot
reach him by phone - at any number on anything you have paid
good money for from him. Either no one answers, or you leave
a message that no one ever returns, or you receive the classic
that number is no longer in service. You are forced to leave
your information in drop down boxes on his site that prevent
you from accessing any information from his site - what is up
with all of that? Not very good internet ettiquette from the
internet guru. We are being charge monthly for something
we have no idea about and you cannot reach anyone. Come
on Adam - Man Up! We are your customers - at least offer
some courtesy - some human decency. What goes around
comes around . . .

You can never get Adam Ginsberg by phone and he never calls back. His customer service support is really lousy. You can leave a dozen messages and no one reponses or calls you back ever.
He is a terrible Jewish who will never refund you back despite his personal guarantees on stage. Certainly he is not a man of his words.
Everyone should stay clear of Adam Ginsberg’s books, products and events if you do not want to be cheated of your hard-earned money.

Adam’s original eBay accounts that were frozen by eBay before he was banned from selling on the site can still be seen today:

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=pegasusbilliards&ftab=AllFeedback&myworld=true

One or two negatives is bad enough - this guy had pages of them! I see that the eBay community put pressure on eBay to get the police involved with a criminal investigation, I wonder what came of that.
