Virtual Classroom from Auction Selling 101

Well, it was only yesterday that I wrote about Auction Selling 101 but today (Sunday 12th August) I received notification of the first live training event. As the virtual classroom software is number one on the list of Auction Selling “secret weapons” I felt it was only right that it deserved some attention.

The software to run the live training events (yes, it’s a standalone application) is downloaded from within the membership area of the site. It’s pretty sophistically but at the same time simple to use, allowing you to see the Mr Black & Mr Blue though a web cam, as well as allowing those participating within the conference to join in using their pc microphone or chat by using the keyboard.

The first session lasted for 1hour and 45 minutes, with a whole range of subjects discussed. The Auction Selling hosts were pretty flexible about the direction the session was heading & the subjects discussed. The quality of the audio seemed to be a small issue during the session, but something the team were made aware of so it should be tackled and improved shortly.

During this first session we also gained a further insight into the eBay accounts of Mr Black & Mr Blue, as well as some specific product details including profit margins. One example shown, were some cycling shorts which were being sold at $20, making a profit of $10 each sale. Questions from members took up a large part of the session, with nothing being avoided.

Both hosts, admitted they were new at using the software & that things would improve. However the small audio problem, would be no disadvantage when being compared to the knowledge, experience and insight being picked up from this lesson.

I immensely look forward to the second virtual classroom session from Auction Selling 101 to see what gems we pick up next time. If you join or are already a  member, I’ll see you online at the next session. With more sessions already being planned hopefully it won’t be too long before we get to do it again. More details at our previous post below or at the Auction Selling 101 website.

DropShippingWholesalers.com

DropShippingWholesalers.com is a membership site offering the latest dropshipping and wholesaling information. Members get access to a full database of suppliers, as well as a 10 day eCourse, & an exclusive members forum. The one off membership fee of $47 offers lifetime access to the site.

Information listed within the suppliers is divided into categories, such as Adult, Books, Electronics, and specialist categories such as UK Dropshippers and Chinese Wholesalers so it is easy to navigate.

Members also get a chance to upgrade their membership to platinum for an additional fee, which gives you your own fully stocked turnkey website. This will allow you to dropship products from your own website direct to your customers.

While the supplier information may be worthwhile (if put to good use), the rest of the site suffers and feels like it’s being plastered with google adsense and affiliate ads - even containing affiliate ads for SaleHoo who I would regard as being a competing site.

This really lets the presentation and the professionalism of the site down, as well as the occasional 404 error that displays this adds to the sites weakened credibility. While some members may have had success with the site we’d be unable to recommend it to our readers.

PlanetSMS offers Mentorship Monthly

Mentorship Monthly is a re-occurring product from Planet SMS, also known as eBay guru John Thornhill. For $10 a month, John claims to be able to take your business and catapult it to the next level, with the reassurance of a 56 day guarantee and the ability to cancel at any time without obligations

There is no huge list of ebooks and bonuses that are used to bribe you into signing up, the site seems pretty forward about what your getting in exchange. Membership consists of a digital newsletter, a related audio or video presentation, personal assistance from John and the chance to question him about any e-commerce or eBay questions. Of course content is updated monthly.

Having saw the contents of the first edition, I can say the nine page pdf newsletter is easy to read, contains good content, and suitable for all irrelevant of your experience. The camtasia video, which is just short of ten minutes gives us step by step instructions to recreate some of the success John is having.

John backs up his points & methods by showing us live examples of where he’s using these methods himself (on his own websites) and appears to be open about the results they provide. The results of the video contained within the July edition have made additional sales of $4000 over two months for John.

The fact that there is limited information contained within the membership area, is a good thing. It will allow members to concentrate and focus on putting these steps into action rather than being lost of a minefield of information. If future editions prove to be as good as the July edition I have no doubt that applying these methods will lead to continuous improvement for your business.

Details available at: MentorshipMonthly.com

SaleHoo - The Global Directory Of Wholesale Distributors

For a membership fee of $49.95 offers to be a comprehensive directory of manufactures, dropshippers and wholesalers. It seems to be an ideal solution for sellers looking to build up small businesses online but who don’t already have access to these products.

SaleHoo is split into two sections, The wholesale suppliers database and the private members forum. The private members forum, always seems to be quite active with members sharing their thoughts on dropshippers and specific wholesale suppliers as well as a section for those seeking specific products. Members of SaleHoo seem to be quite willing to share their supplier information and experiences as it is a closed site and the information isn’t publicly viewable.

The wholesale suppliers database literally lists hundreds of wholesalers, dropshippers, manufactures and liquidators in an easy to use format. Each listing has a summary of supplier containing information on what it offers and where they are based. Members are welcome to rate and review each listing, to warn or approve the supplier to other members. Having saw and paid for a few lists of dropshippers over the years, I can say the information contained within SaleHoo is worthy of the membership fee (being as it’s a one time fee for lifetime membership) and is up to date & accurate.

My only reservation with SaleHoo, is the majority of members who join the site will not make use of the information and contacts listed -  putting it on the back burner & never getting round to using it. However this could be said of most users who purchase membership or any informational product. SaleHoo can be found at: http://www.SaleHoo.com

The Auction Inspector

If your looking to sell on eBay in a specialist or uncrowded niche, then it can be difficult work researching & finding a category which is not too crowded. One product that offers such a solution is Auction Inspector.
Auction Inspector is an ebay research tool which searches though the thousands of eBay want it now advertisements. If your not familiar with ebays Want It Now ads, these are listings placed by ebay members where they request specific or similar items that their searching for.

The trick, which makes Auction Inspector unique is as well as searching though Want It Now ads, it also compares the results of popular searches with the number of existing listings for each keyword it finds. Therefore, it is finds a large number of users wanting for an item, but only one or two sellers offering these items then your more than likely to have discovered a profitable market.

Auction Inspector

Auction Inspector works on four of the most popular ebay sites - ebay.com/.co.uk/.ca/ & com.au. It has an easy to use and friendly interface. Additionally you can also search for specific keywords to discover a market or select an ebay category and discover any opportunities within the market.

Anyone purchasing Auction Inspector can do so in complete confidence with the Auction Inspector 8-week money-back guarantee. If your unsatisfied with Auction Inspector for any reason, you can contact the seller within 8-weeks of the purchase date and be granted a full refund. In addition to receiving a refund, any bonus e-books are theirs to keep. Full details at The Auction Inspector

Alex Jeffreys, Easy Profit Auctions Membership Site

It’s Time To Make Ebay Work For You…Not The Other Way Around!” says Alex Jeffreys over at EasyProfitAuctions.com. With testimonials by other gurus such as Tim Knox and Jason James, Alex Jeffreys seems to have had no trouble selling his site to other gurus.

I was quite skeptical. Firstly, I’d never heard of the name Alex Jeffreys and secondly there are already a score of existing ebay membership sites. However, one thing that Easy Profit Auctions seems to do is focus more on a specific credible technique used on ebay as oppose to a membership site packed with every ebook going describing every possible money making scheme going.

Easy Profit Auctions focuses on two aspects of eBay, Listing Building and Ebooks. Including articles, camtasia videos, teleconferences, and a busy vibrate members forum not only does Easy Profit Auctions accomplish what it sets out to do, it does it with complete authority and competence.

I’ve completed two ebooks myself and before I start with the third, will be revisiting Alex’s site to plan out the launch for the third.

I realise that with the site focusing mainly on two specific techniques, a lot of readers will be put off - purely by the thought of completing an ebook themselves. However, there is simply no need to fear this, Easy Profit Auction includes videos and advice showing how you can distance yourself from the task by outsourcing the project or by rewriting an existing private label ebook.

I really can not go into specific details of everything the site details, and it really took me some time to get my head around the concept it was offering. Viewing this site alone, Alex Jeffrey has added me to his list of fans and I’ll be keeping a close eye on anything else he offers.

So, what does Easy Profit Auctions include:

Like Jason James Auction Resource Network, for me one of the main attactions is twelve months worth Of unlimited personal consulting, by alex himself. Access to the EPA private members forum, expert advice of the concepts and techniques described by Alex, a range of bonuses and tools and full support offered to all members. You can check out the site at EasyProfitAuctions.com

Feedback Analyzer, from Dave Guindon

Within the last 24 hours, I’ve received three emails. One from Brian McGregor, another from Micheal Sherriff and a third all mentioning one particular product. The Product is Feedback Analyzer, from Dave Guindon

Feedback Analyzer is a free product (for personal use), that offers to be a comprehensive feedback tool. With the ability to extract feedback comments for any seller & sort this information into easily viewable tables, one of it’s main benefits is the time it could saves you if you were to do the same task manually.

Feedback Analyser

Feedback Analyzer has been designed with the end user in mind. As you can see from the above screenshot, it is very attractive and simple to use. One of the best features of the software, is the ability to collect your own feedback from ebay and build a html table which you simply paste into your own eBay listings. Showing off your ebay feedback this way, gives your bidders more confidence and is something some of the best powersellers do.

The Software works on four different international versions of the site (ebay.com/.co.uk/.ca/com.au) and you also have the option to purchase master resell rights, allowing you to resell the product. Support is offered via the way of Camtasia videos and a support desk.

Feedback Analyzer is definatly worth downloading, if you like to research those who you do business with before it’s finalised. You can download your copy of Feedback Analyzer here.

EDIT: 27th January - Feedback Analyzer is no longer being offered as a free download, but as a only with resell rights for $27

The Complete Moron’s Guide To Buying on eBay by Socrates Socratous

Aimed at complete beginners to the eBay scene, Socrates Socratous has compiled two ebooks - “The Complete Beginners Guide To Buying On EBay” and “The Complete Beginners Guide To Selling On Ebay”.

Socrates Socratous presents himself as an internet marketer, and his blog at http://socratesblog.com shows him attending marketing conferences, teaching about listing building at seminars and catching up with world famous internet gurus such as Mike Filsaime & Stephen Pierce.

Although not a high priced product (available on ebay for as little as $1.99) Socreates ebook is one of the best guides aimed at newbies. Containing essential links to relevant sites and information that is mandatory for newbies to learn - but unfortunately which normally left for users have to learn the hard way.

Beginning with an introduction to eBay & explaining the history of the site, it goes on to show the advantages of eBay and talking readers though the process of searching for items and bidding for them.

My only small criticism of the ebook is that it’s appears to be aimed solely at a US audience, as oppose to an international one. Screenshots are shown in USD$, and all links are to eBay.com instead of giving users the option to link to their local ebay site. Despite this, the information contained is still 100% accurate to users of every ebay site.

The guide concludes with “Top 29 eBay Buying Success Tips Sellers DON’T Want You to Know!” including information about eBays affiliate program, feedback, western union payments and safe payment methods, and sniping.

Users who have been registered on ebay for a while and have experience using the site will gain little from this ebook, however for newly registered members to ebay this ebook should be made essential reading before bidding for your first item.

You can download “The Complete Moron’s Guide To Buying on eBay”, which is offered as a Bonus when purchasing Brian McGregors “The eBay Formula” during January.

John Thornhill Presents Auction Profit Streams

John Reese calls it the “Hope Factor”. People buy ebooks and courses, read them, study them and put them on the shelf to gather dust. Why, because they symbolize hope - knowing there always there should you need to take action. John Thornhill knows this only too well. In his new ebook, Auction Profit Streams John in perfectly clear about why the majority of people fail online and on eBay. Because most people simply don’t take action on the information presented to them. It’s something we’re all guilty of at some point.

The ebook contains step by step instuctions on creating your own ebook, how to develop it and resell it, how to create maximum viral sales by offering your product with resell rights, creating ebay listings and ebook covers and even what you should include in your email when you deliver the product to your winning bidders.

Everything you possibly need to know about making a living selling ebooks on ebay is contained with this 53 page ebook, not one tactic is left unexplained or untouched on.

How do we know it all works. Well, John is open about his eBay account and we can actually see him following his own advice on a daily basis. Everything is backed up, via screenshots of affiliate earnings and paypal accounts showing sales or you can head over to ebay yourself to see Johns feedback increasing hour by hour.
