John Thornhill Presents Auction Profit Streams

John Reese calls it the “Hope Factor”. People buy ebooks and courses, read them, study them and put them on the shelf to gather dust. How Gilbbert and Frech Built An eBay Business

The book is basically my story about selling on eBay the last 6 years. Right now, my dad and I are the only full time workers along with just a few part time workers - we sell over 50,000 items per month on one eBay account alone, Robert Frechette tells me when I request a review copy of his ebook.

Previously, I’d never heard of Robert Frechette and would find it hard to believe that a simple father and son setup would ever become the number one eBay Volume Seller. However, between May - August 2006 this is exactly what Robert Frechette has achieved selling over 214,000 items during this period.

“How Gilbert & Frech Built an eBay Business One Bid at a Time”, tells the story of how this amazing achievement came about building an eBay business anyone would be proud of. While I’m writing this, their eBay account (Gilbertandfrech) shows a massive 29690 positive feedback comments received within the last month.

With a foreword by Jim Cockrum, of “The Silent Sales Machine hiding on eBay” Cockrum sums up the most surprising and achieving aspect of Gilbertandfrech’s business model. “It would be easy it brag about a company with 30 employees selling tens of thousands of items every month on eBay, but who would be inspired by that?” - Not many of us.

Over six chapters, Robert tells us his story. This is not a how to guide, containing articles and tutorials but told personally by Robert about how the Gilbertandfrech ebay account has made it to the number one position. About how he started selling second hand clothes on eBay, making a profit of just $209 in 1999 and building up their ebay sales to a fulltime business. It wasn’t even intentional, Robert never set out to become the #1 eBay volume seller.

There are even more surprises in store when you learn what the Gilbertandfrech empire mainly sell. One would have presumed they’d be offering high value items, such as electronic items or even selling as a trading assistant offering other peoples unwanted items. But, the main focus of sales is centered around selling Jewelry, mainly for a few dollars each.

The ebook concludes with a few tips of what’s worked and what hasn’t for Gilbertandfrech. This ebook is a real opportunity to follow the biggest eBay success story that was ever created, if your looking for inspiration from someone who has really been there and made it to the top of ebay this is essential reading.

UPDATE: As of September 2007 Rob is no longer selling his ebook. It is only available as part of membership of Jim Cockrums MySilentTeam - Click to read more.

MisSpell Generator from Adam Ginsberg

Adam Ginsberg of AdamGinsberg.com is following the route of Mike Enos, amongst others and turning their previously open public website into a members only resource. Starting immediately visitors must optin to membership by offering their email address to gain access to the site.

It appears like the majority of the site has been redesigned since I last visited, and it’s now represents a much more professional and credible site.

For a limited period, visitors are offered free products in exchange for opening a members account. One of these is MisSpell Generator which Ginsberg normally sells access to for $49. MisSpell Generator searches though eBay listings on eBay, eBay UK, eBay Australia, eBay Ireland, eBay Canada and eBay India for item listings with misspelt word within the title.

For those unfamiliar why this would be of any use, then it’s worth remembering that the majority of searches performed by visitors on eBay are done though a keyword search. For example, users will enter the keyword “Sony Television” into the search box as oppose to clicking though to the relevant eBay category (Consumer Electronics >Televisions) and viewing all listings.

Essentially, if you misspell a word in your listing it will get significantly less exposure on eBay and will therefore get lower bids as the competition between bidders will less intense.

Although it’s unfortunate for sellers who misspell words, this brings an opportunity for bidders to grab themselves a bargain at the same time. A lot of bidders take advantage of these mistakes to win auctions, purely in order to relist the same items correctly and resell the goods on eBay at profit.

MisSpell Generator offers a selection of the most popular goods being searched for on the front page, as well as keeping a handy list of your previous searches below this for easy access. Searches can be filtered by eBay site and Misspell Generator also claims to remove potentially fraudulent auctions from your results, although it does not go into details of how this is done.

A quick search for the word Television is performed, and a few moments later 23 results are shown for misspelt items. Of these, 12 are Televisions, while the other items are TV accessories such as Ariels and Remote Controls. Following the misspelt results, the results for original spelling and common variations of “television” are shown. If you search for long enough, it’s a certainty you’ll find something worth bidding on.

Overall, MisSpell Generator is a handy tool to have access to while it is being included with free membership, although it is only being included for a limited period. There are similar tools available, that provide free access to the same results such as FatFingers.com but a quick comparison showed MisSpell Generator provides more listing than FatFingers.

Jim Cockrums, Part Time Plan.

Already available to existing customers who’ve purchased The Silent Sales Machine Hiding On eBay, Jim Cockrum will shortly be offering copies of his latest ebook - A Part Time Plan For Massive Success for about $29. If you have purchased Silent Sales Machine in the past, be sure to check out Cockrums blog to find out how you can get your complimentary copy.

At 67 pages long, it’s one of the longer ebooks we’ve reviewed. Cockrum goes to great lengths to create credibility for himself, taking up to page 11 to show the audience his previous works, alexa ranking of his websites and his constant clickbank sales that have kept his product at the top of the relevant category. Existing readers of the Silent Sales Machine, will be able to skip this as they will already be familair with Cockrums achievements.

Within the ebook Cockrum goes on to explain about different strategies used to make money from eBay and also what state each of the strategies positions you in. Are you glued to eBay 24/7 or do you have the freedom to leave your business on auto pilot, earning cash while you sleep. In common with most successful eBay strategies, Cockrums unsurprisingly revolves around marketing information products on ebay and online.

However Cockrum’s knowledge of how eBay works comes into a league of it’s own, when he offers some genius ideas for creating your product and even for testing the product to ensure there is a market for a product before you even start putting it together. This one idea by itself would be worth the price of the ebook by itself. As someone who has written hundreds of articles and several ebooks I would never have even considered going down this route.

He also offers his audience suggestions of niches that sell well, and full advantages and disadvantages of resources you’ll need to consider using along the way, should you follow Cockrums plan.

Overall, when you consider the fact that this ebook is currently offered free to customers of The Silent Sales Machine Hiding On Ebay, it’s highly worthy of the $29.97 cost for both ebooks.

Learning To Become A Successful eBay Seller With The Auction Resource Network

What is the single most important thing to every eBay seller? If you guessed profit, then you are right. Author and eBay expert Jason James, founder of the Auction Resource Network, understands that every eBay entrepreneur needs a healthy bottom line. In addition to offering his free weekly ‘Make Money on eBay’ newsletter, James offers every subscriber a few extra incentives for signing up. Among them, a free eBook titled ‘Top 10 eBay Secrets for Successful Selling’ and a report that reveals the top 5 eBay PowerSeller wholesale product sources.

“I am a real person that makes real money on eBay and I am going to share with you the real secrets, tips and sources that I use on a daily basis to make a very comfortable living selling products on eBay right from my own home,” James contends. After confirming the desire to receive a free weekly newsletter, visitors to www.AuctionResourceNetwork.com will be invited to subscribe as an exclusive member of The Auction Resource Network. This subscription, however, comes with a price. For just under $100.00, members are granted access to a considerable amount of exclusive information, including ‘Insider’ auction tips & techniques, wholesale product finder, auction eBook collection, updated eBay & online auction news, discount directory, permission to promote an exclusive affiliate program, access to Jason’s personal auction tools Rolodex, a discussion forum, complete access to step-by-step eBay coaching videos and one year of unlimited personal consulting. New subscribers are also being offered six additional bonuses with their paid membership.

Many entrepreneurs recognize the reasons for starting an eBay business, including a low start-up cost, fast results and determining their own work hours. Most importantly, many people realize that working for someone else only makes the boss rich. For this reason alone, many entrepreneurs are stepping up and learning to work for themselves. For some, starting a business is intimidating because of the costs associated with renting or purchasing a commercial space, purchasing a large inventory, advertising, insurance, etc. With an eBay business, all anyone needs is a computer and an internet connection. As for inventory, sellers can either purchase their products upfront or special order the items as they are sold to customers. The latter is known as a pre-sale strategy and provides for no inventory, no out-of-pocket expenses and the convenience of knowing that the only items that are purchased are those that have already been paid for by their customers.

“When I set out to create this site, I wanted it to be the absolute best resource to teach virtually anybody how to start and run a successful online auction business, holding nothing back,” James admits. “I now know without a single doubt, I have succeeded in creating the ultimate collection of online auction secrets, tips, tools and resources to help people learn this unique and very profitable home business called eBay.”

When it comes to eBay and learning how to grow as a seller, it never hurts to have that edge over the competition. Will The Auction Resource Network be an effective tool for everyone? There is no way to know for certain, but what if it would work for you?

Ultimate Dropshipping Tool Featuring 90,000+ Wholesale Products Unveiled

Adam Ginsberg, author, speaker and educator, has recently unveiled a new dropshipping resource tool that features more than 90,000 wholesale products. Known as MyAuctionGenerator, Ginsberg’s latest in an impressive line of products, this tool offers internet entrepreneurs an opportunity to choose from thousands of new products to increase their eBay inventory.

According to Ginsberg, “this unique system integrates with eBay. Simply select the item you want to sell and you will be provided with a description, pictures and even a suggested title. He adds, “Then, with one click of your mouse, your item is listed on eBay.”

According to this new program, sellers will never again have to pay for merchandise until after it has already sold. A dropshipping program works as the seller lists an item for sale, collects the payment and then forwards the wholesale price to the dropshipper who then ships the product. Without ever having to place their hands on the merchandise or worry about the hassle of shipping, sellers have made a profit and their work is done.

The eBay Formula

The eBay Formula is an ebook by Brian McGregor (reviewed in our eBay eXperts). At 72 pages long, it is one of the longer ebooks on eBay we have reviewed and unlike many other niche ebooks this one features on one subject and one subject only.

Selling.

The eBook sells itself with the slogan, “How To Sell Anything On eBay, Time After Time After Time.” This really sums up the ebook, as it breaks everything down to basic steps, offers comparisons including Selling on eBay vs Selling via your website, suggests title and subtitle tips, & offers a list of templates you can use within your eBay listings.

Divided up into 7 chapters, of easy to follow information the author has gone to great lengths to ensure that every detail of selling is clarified. The eBook, gently guides you though the complete process of selling & offers much sought advice on the five selling pages which you are required to fill out to list your item on eBay. The eBook is therefore suitable for both beginners who have not sold on eBay before, plus more advanced users who sometimes forget the primary steps in eBay selling.

Resell Rights are not included, but an opportunity to enter the authors reselling program does exist.
